If you want to keep dogs our of your garden, take some aftershave, old perfume, or any other scented item and spray the grass around the area. This can help mask any scents which attract animals so pets will now avoid the garden.

This will allow you to prepare ahead of time, letting you know what you need to buy and when. You might want to create your calendar on paper so you can refer to it easily, or you could use a program on your computer to create and store it.

If you're going to grow peas, start them indoors before putting them in the ground outside. Pea seeds tend to germinate much better when planted indoors, before being moved to an outside garden.
